    Operation Brightpath

    Action taken:

    Police have conducted proactive patrols along the railway line, and where persistent offenders and vehicles have been identified have seized vehicles and issued tickets for contraventions of road traffic laws.
    Police have also been liaising closely with other agencies after the commission of a crime reduction report to push for measures like new CCTV, improved lighting and the fencing off of non-public areas adjacent to the Railway Line.

    Drug dealing in the town centre, Chalkstone Estate/Clements Estate

    Action taken:

    Police have conducted multiple arrest and stop searches in relation to drug offences, and have seized a significant amount of drugs from offenders. In addition, intelligence is continuously researched and developed around person of interest who are known to deal drugs.
    To support these efforts, police have been conducting regular foot patrols of areas in identified hot spot area and have conducted multiple drug related warrants of properties linked to drug supply. A number of persons are still under investigation for the selling or use of drugs, with multiple files being prepared to be seen at court.

    Retail crime (shop lifting) in Haverhill affecting local businesses and shops

    Action taken:

    Police have prioritised retail crime in the Haverhill area, with the appointment of PC 745 OAKLEY as the Single Point of Contact for all retail crime investigations in Haverhill. PC 745 OAKLEY does this alongside his other role as a Community Police Officer for South & East Haverhill.
    Police have investigated numerous retail crime incidents, with multiple persons arrested and several of these remanded in Custody prior to court hearings. In addition, proactive deterrent measures have been explored with One Haverhill spoken to regarding a new alert system & crime prevention advice given to multiple stores in Haverhill.
