    Action taken:

Over a dozen arrests, charges and court appearances
Four Court-imposed Criminal Behaviour Orders applied for by Police. A further CBO listed for Court hearing in September 2026
Around a dozen Community Protection Notices (arrestable and enforceable if breached)
Regular foot patrols by town centre beat officers
Multi-agency partnership working with local and district council and shop staff.
Highly-publicised social media campaign on our enforcement and arrests

  • Priority:

Drug dealing in the town centre, Chalkstone Estate/Clements Estate

    Issued 14 June 2026

    Action taken:

Numerous arrests and stop and searches with large amounts of drugs seized
Intelligence development of those known to deal drugs
    Regular foot patrols of areas
Regular Misuse of Drugs Act search warrants carried out by the Haverhill Community Policing Team resulting in arrests and drug seizes.
A number of individuals are currently under investigation, following arrests in the Haverhill area for drugs offences and we are in the process of preparing files for court to gain charging decisions from CPS.

    Actioned 14 June 2026

  • Priority:

Retail crime (shop lifting) in Haverhill affecting local businesses and shops

    Issued 14 June 2026

    Action taken:

Haverhill Sector now has a beat officer appointed to be Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for retail crime investigations which is Pc 745 Oakley the beat officer for the town centre
Haverhill CPT are currently investigating eight shop lifts
Multiple arrests have been made, some proactively by officers on foot coming across shop lifts in process.
Arrests charges and remands for shop lifting offences with three further arrests needing to be made
Liaison with One Haverhill to try and adopt a modern day alert system in Haverhill
Haverhill CPT will continue to use Facebook to post a media appeal to identify theft offences on each and every occasion where CCTV is clear enough to do so. This has a number of benefits - The potential for the public to identify the suspect, showing that the suspect has been caught and the offence is being investigated and removing the anonymity around shop lifting
Regular foot patrols and visits to shops to continue our excellent relationships
Crime prevention advice being given to shops re stock placement to deter shop lifting
A Criminal Behaviour Order is being applied for Police in regards to a prolific shoplifter which will be heard at court on conviction.
