Overnight offences within the rural community
Action taken:
CPT officers have been engaging with local residents and business owners, providing crime prevention advice and reassurance within the area. High‑visibility patrols are being conducted throughout the area to deter offending and maintain public confidence

Target Anti-social behaviour in the Halesworth & Southwold Town Centre and Park areas
Action taken:
High‑visibility foot patrols have been carried out during the evening period in both Southwold and Halesworth. Officers engaged positively with young people in both towns, providing advice and guidance around anti‑social behaviour (ASB). These patrols will continue in both locations.
Since the introduction of these patrols, there has been a measurable reduction in reported ASB incidents, indicating an improving trend across both towns.
We have also worked closely with local schools to raise awareness of the impact of ASB, with the aim of sustaining this reduction and preventing further incidents. -
Priority:
Targeted action is being taken against road traffic offenders whose behaviour presents a risk to the public, with officers conducting proactive patrols and enforcement.
Action taken:
Speed enforcement has been conducted in identified priority areas following concerns raised by members of the public.
Vehicle seizures have taken place to remove dangerous and uninsured vehicles from the road network.
Police continue to act on intelligence‑led information regarding drink and drug driving, with enforcement activity aimed at removing these drivers from the roads and reducing risk to the public.
