Halesworth is a market town in rural north east Suffolk, approximately 30 miles north of Ipswich and 20 miles south of Lowestoft. It is built surrounding the river that runs through the town, a tributary of the river Blyth, which runs inland from Southwold and Walberswick. Halesworth and its surrounding towns and villages, which include Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh, Leiston and Framlingham, are all part of Suffolk’s rural setting. The Suffolk Coast and Heaths is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Suffolk, this includes RSPB Minsmere and the old village of Dunwich. Nearby Henham also hosts the Latitude music festival.
