Police are aware of the continued concern from local residents, businesses and visitors in respect to the alcohol related Anti-Social Behaviour. This has a significant impact on the local community, visitors and businesses alike.
Action taken:
Police are actively using the Powers provided under Section 48 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 in issuing Community Protection Warning Letters and Community Protection Notices. Police are taking a zero tollerance approach to this in inforcing the Public Space Protection Order and dealing with any breaches of Community Protection Notices in the form of arrests. We are also working with our partners in respect to this matter to ensure a joint approach is taken.

Concerns have been identified in respect to the standards of driving and use of vehicles in Bury St Edmunds Town Center and the Moreton Hall
Action taken:
Joint Operation already completed with Roads Policing Team and the Community Policing Team enforcing legislation available under the Road Traffic Act and the Public Space Protection Order. Additional resources available to tackle the issue.
