OP Clarify -Vehicle related ASB in relation to off road bikes – Making use of police powers in order to protect the community against the effects of Anti-social behaviours from vehicles on the road and in the rural communities. Further work also to educate and prosecute those affecting this.

Identifying problem areas and recording these as a ‘Prevention Activity Log’, to monitor and note the ongoing issue. Regular patrols and where necessary, the issuing of Traffic Offence Reports. Partnership working with local stores to assist with implementing measures to prevent vehicle ASB. Concerns raised about speeding are shared with the Safety Camera Team, for consideration of being a speed enforcement site. Several posts on social media released by police to encourage the public to provide any information they have around the vehicles and riders to help police take further action. Education within school settings around off road bikes and laws around them.

Op Egglestone – Cuckooing.
Concerns around vulnerable individuals within the community being subjected to cuckooing. This involves criminals and drug users exploiting vulnerable people by taking over their homes for criminal activity. These checks are being carried out to safeguard those at risk, gather intelligence, and address the concerns of local residents regarding related criminality and anti-social behaviour within the community.

Cuckooing checks were carried out at addresses identified through intelligence and joint partnership working with multi-agency partners. Closure notices were sought and implemented where appropriate, and arrests were made where offences were identified and enforcement action was necessary.
