OP Islington- Retail Crime – Identify our top repeat targeted retail premises, working with partners in designing out crime and prevent offences. Identify and pursue our persistent offenders, making best use of prevention orders

Reported retail crime is low in this area, but the local community police team are always monitoring this issue and when offences occur are reviewing the crimes to see if there are any evidential opportunities they can assist with. Extra patrols to the areas in and around the local supermarket and convenience stores in Hadleigh are underway.

OP Clarify -Vehicle related ASB in relation to off road bikes – Making use of police powers in order to protect the community against the effects of Anti-social behaviours from vehicles on the road and in the rural communities. Further work also to educate and prosecute those affecting this.

Identifying problem areas and recording these as a ‘Prevention Activity Log’, to monitor and note the ongoing issue. Regular patrols and where necessary, the issuing of Traffic Offence Reports. Partnership working with local stores to assist with implementing measures to prevent vehicle ASB. Concerns raised about speeding are shared with the Safety Camera Team, for consideration of being a speed enforcement site. Several posts on social media released by police to encourage the public to provide any information they have around the vehicles and riders to help police take further action. Education within school settings around off road bikes and laws around them.

Hi visibility patrols in areas which are being affected and likely to be targeted. Crime prevention advice at local events and pop up events. Prosecution of offenders.
