All my Safer Neighbourhood Teams in the South-West locality (Ipswich West and Hadleigh) work hard to make sure our communities remain safe places to live, work, travel and invest.

Police Constables on the team support PCSO colleagues in focussed patrol and problem-solving work, working closely with partners and our volunteers. Our PCSOs develop areas of specialism as we work hard to combat the hidden out-of-sight harm in our communities.

  • Police Inspector Kirsty Graefe took command of the Ipswich West and Hadleigh Safer Neighbourhood Team in November 2019. 
  • The Ipswich West Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) area consists of 7 town wards and Hadleigh Safer Neighbourhood Team consists of 48 parishes. The main town of Ipswich is a busy thriving historic county town with a population of approximately 135,000 with great road and rail links to neighbouring counties and London. It bordered to the West by the Hadleigh Locality, which consists of a mostly rural towns and villages.
