- Felixstowe is home to the UKs largest container port with significant goods distribution and servicing sectors.
- It has good links to the trunk road and railway network.
- It is also a busy tourist destination with leisure and retail features including sea front attractions, theatre, nightlife, and holiday park accommodation.
- Beyond Felixstowe the SNT covers rural parishes up to the boundary of east Ipswich and as far north as Waldringfield.
