First Principle has been created by Suffolk Constabulary’s Design Out Crime Officers to provide bespoke crime prevention advice for Suffolk residents. The library covers a variety of topics and provides advice based on situational crime prevention principles.
Topics covered within the library includes prevention advice for pet and animal owners, home and property security, vehicle and transport security, retail theft prevention, ASB advice, metal theft, rural crime, personal and online security and much more.
The first principle of policing is to prevent crime and disorder, if you have been a victim of crime in Suffolk you can ask the officer dealing to provide you with advice from the First Principle Library, which can be sent to you electronically or printed off and delivered to your address.
You can contact your Community Policing Team and ask for crime prevention advice using the find your area section on the front page of this website.
Police Connect is a free police messaging service for those who want to hear directly from the police and others in the public sector about issues and actions in their community.
