A man who was believed to have sustained serious injuries during an incident in Haverhill has come forward and his condition is not as serious as first feared.
Officers were called at 5pm on Sunday 8 March, to reports of a fight involving several people at an address in Pipers Close.
Two men are reported to have sustained stab wounds during the incident, with one of them taken to hospital for treatment on Sunday, before being discharged later that evening.
The other man could not be located at the time and officers were concerned that he had sustained serious injuries and could be in need of urgent medical attention. He presented himself to police yesterday and has been to hospital for a check-up, with his injuries now determined not to be serious.
Four people have been arrested in connection with this incident as follows:
Officers understand that the parties involved are known to each other and so do not believe there is any threat to the wider community.
