Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed in Sudbury.
Officers were called to the incident by the ambulance service at 11:50pm last night, Saturday 18 April, to reports of an injured man outside the White Horse public house, North Street in the town.
It is reported that the man in his 20s had been assaulted in the beer garden at the Comfortable Cow public house, King Street, a short time prior. Two men, wearing face coverings and carrying a bladed weapon/s attacked the victim who sustained a single stab wound to his arm.
The victim ran from the scene, followed by the suspects, turning right from the pub up King Street.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance where he remains at this time. His condition is described as stable.
The first suspect is described as being at least 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a skinny build, wearing a black Adidas style hooded top and a balaclava. The second suspect is described as being less than 5 feet 6 inches tall, slim build and was wearing black clothing and a balaclava.
Officers are treating the assault as a targeted incident and believe the parties were known to each other. Police are currently reviewing CCTV and carrying out other enquiries in the area.
Anyone with relevant CCTV or doorbell camera footage or anyone driving in the area at the time with a dash camera is asked to contact police.
