Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that took place at Felixstowe.
Over 40 golf balls have been driven from a grass mound outside of the Landguard Fort on Point View Road. It caused mortar damage to the outer wall of the fort, whilst other balls have gone over the wall into the inner parade area. It took place at some point between Monday 10 March at 5pm and Tuesday 11 March at 9am.
This damage caused is an offence under Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or knows who was responsible should contact Suffolk police, quoting crime reference 37/13803/25.
