A motorist involved in a three-vehicle collision on the A14 in Bury St Edmunds last week has died.
Officers were called to the A14 near junction 43 at 8.56am on Thursday 13 March following reports of a collision involving two cars and a van on the eastbound carriageway.
The van involved was a white Vauxhall Vivaro, while the two cars were a silver Renault Scenic and a grey Citroen C4.
The driver of the Renault, a man in his 80s, sustained serious injuries and sadly died in hospital on Sunday 16 March. A female passenger in the same car went home after the collision but was later admitted to hospital, where she currently remains.
The road was closed in both directions. All lanes in both directions were fully reopened by 12.50pm.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on the A14 in Bury St Edmunds.

He was taken by land ambulance to hospital, where he remains.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended.
