Police are investigating a suspected arson in Barton Mills.
Officers were called to Tuddenham Road at approximately 10:50pm yesterday, Thursday 12 June, following reports that two unknown people were seen acting suspiciously around large containers stored near a field.
Officers quickly attended and saw that a fire had started inside a container, which had caught light to items inside – including a lawnmower and a motorbike.
Officers called Suffolk Fire and Rescue to the scene, and conducted a search of the area but the suspects were not located.
No one was injured as a result of the fire.
Anyone with information relating to the arson, or who know the identity of those responsible, are urged to contact Suffolk police quoting 37/31901/25.
