Police have arrested two teenagers after two victims were threatened in Haverhill.
Two incidents took place on Saturday 25 January at midday (crime number: 37/4527/25) and 2pm (crime number 37/4587/25). In both incidents the male victims were walking their dog close to a play area near the newt pond near to School Road. The victims were both approached by two males, who were both riding an e-scooter, wearing balaclavas, and aged approximately 11 to 15 years old. In both incidents it is reported that they threatened the dog and when challenged one of the offenders showed what was described as a knife. No-one was hurt, but in the second incident, the victim was pushed into a bush.
Yesterday, Wednesday 5 February, police arrested two teenaged boys in connection with the incidents. They were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre to be questioned by officers. The two boys have now been bailed to return to police on 17 March.
Witnesses or anybody with any information should contact Haverhill police, quoting the relevant crime number.
