A man has died following a single-vehicle collision in Gislingham at the weekend.
Police were called at 3.55pm yesterday, Sunday 19 January, to reports that a red Honda motorcycle had collided with a telegraph pole on the B1113 Finningham Road.
Ambulance and fire crews were also in attendance but the rider – a man aged in his 30s – was sadly declared deceased at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours, reopening at 1.30am this morning (Monday 20 January).
Officers are appealing for any potential witnesses and asking any motorists driving in the area between 3.30pm and 3.55pm on Sunday afternoon with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting reference: 37/3463/25.
