Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident of suspected arson in Thurston.
Officers were called at just after 8pm yesterday, Wednesday 5 February, to reports of a suspected arson at an address on Smith Close in the village.
It is understood that a bottle containing a flammable liquid was thrown at the door of a property, causing a small fire which was quickly extinguished. This followed reports of 3 men acting suspiciously in the area a short time prior. The men left the scene in what is believed to be a white coloured Ford car.
The door of the property was damaged as a result of the incident but nobody was injured.
Witnesses or anybody with dash-cam or ring doorbell footage that may assist the investigation are asked to contact Bury St Edmunds CID quoting reference 37/6819/25.
