Two people have been charged in connection with a stabbing in Stowmarket at the weekend.
Police were called at 11am on Sunday 2 February to reports that a man had been attacked in Leveret Gardens.
Ambulance crews were also in attendance and the victim – aged in his 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment, where he currently remains in a stable condition.
Officers immediately began to make enquiries and located a suspect vehicle in Ipswich, which was stopped on Norwich Road at 11.35am on Sunday. A 60-year-old woman was subsequently arrested.
50 minutes later, at 12.25pm officers attended an address on Grimwade Street in Ipswich, where they arrested a 26-year-old man.
Both suspects were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and have now been charged as follows:
The pair have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday 4 February.

Ambulance crews were also in attendance and the victim – aged in his 20s – was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is currently described as stable.
Officers immediately began to make enquiries and located a suspect vehicle in Ipswich, which was stopped on Norwich Road at 11.35am. The driver – a 60-year-old woman – was subsequently arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
At 12.25pm officers attended an address on Grimwade Street in Ipswich, where they arrested a 26-year-old man from Needham Market on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Both suspects will be taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning in due course.
It is currently understood that the victim and suspects were known to each other.
