A man from Southwold has been charged with assault following an incident in which a man reported being stabbed with a pair of scissors at a property in Reydon.
The incident took place at Teal Close between 5pm and 5.43pm on Thursday, 6 February. A man, aged in his 20s, suffered stab wounds following an altercation while a second person, aged in his 40s, was also injured.
The man in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be serious, while the main in his 40s suffered minor injuries.
A 31-year-old man was subsequently arrested in Southwold in the early hours of 7 February and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Laurence Betts, 31, of Hotson Road, Southwold, was subsequently charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and assaulting a person occasioning actual bodily harm.
Betts appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on 8 February, where he was remanded by the court to next appear at Ipswich Crown Court on 10 March.
