Officers investigating an assault in Ipswich are appealing for dashcam footage.
The incident is believed to have taken place around 9:45pm on Tuesday 4 February, at St Helen’s Street near the junction with Bond Street.
A man aged in his 30s was assaulted following an argument with a man, who was unknown to him, and sustained injuries to his arm.
The victim has then walked to Tavern Street where he sought help and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.
Officers arrested a man aged in his 40s in connection with the incident shortly after 11pm and he was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Keith McKenzie, aged 48 and of Bond Street in Ipswich, has subsequently been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm. He appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court today, Thursday 6 February, and has been remanded in custody ahead of his appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday 6 March.
Detectives are now appealing for anyone who was driving in the vicinity of St Helen’s Street or Bond street and has a dashcam, to review the footage between 9:35pm and 9:50pm on Tuesday and check if it has captured any images of an altercation.
