Officers are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision that took place in Red Lodge.
Police were called by the ambulance service shortly after 10.30pm yesterday, Monday 23 September, to a report of an injured person on the A11 southbound in Red Lodge. It was reported a vehicle had subsequently collided with the person and that the vehicle failed to stop.
Emergency services attended, however, the pedestrian, a man aged in his 30s, sadly died at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions whilst emergency services attended the scene and conducted the initial investigation. The road was fully reopened at 6.45am this morning, 24 September.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, including anyone with a dash camera that was driving in the area at the time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting CAD 369 of 23 September 2024, via:
