A man from Ipswich has been charged with a drug dealing offence after being arrested in Stowmarket.
Officers located a parked vehicle in Union Street in Stowmarket on Monday 16 September and detained two people in the vehicle, carrying out a section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act search.
The passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of an amount of suspected Class A drugs (cocaine), while two mobile phones suspected to be used in drug dealing were also seized.
Two men, aged 26 and 23, were arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
The 26-year-old man was released under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
Ghorge Mihai, 23, of Christchurch Street, Ipswich, was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Mihai appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Tuesday 17 September. He was remanded to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on 21 October.
