Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a convenience shop in Ipswich.
The incident occurred shortly before 8:50pm yesterday, Wednesday 25 September, at Tesco Express on Nacton Road.
A man entered the store wearing a balaclava and reportedly showed staff a large knife and a claw hammer, before asking them to open the till from which he stole a quantity of cash.
The suspect placed the money within a Tesco bag for life and left the premises on a bicycle. He is believed to have travelled in the direction of Clapgate Lane.
The staff members and customers present were not harmed during this incident.
The suspect is described as wearing a grey tracksuit, around 5ft 8ins in height and of stocky build.
Police believe this incident may be connected to the robbery at the Co-op in Ravenswood earlier this week, on Monday 23 September.
