Police investigating a serious collision in Felixstowe have arrested a man in connection with the incident.
Officers were called by the Ambulance Service at 9.55pm on Monday 2 September, to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian in Sea Road, near the junction with Manwick Road.
The pedestrian – a man aged in his 30s – was taken to hospital having sustained a serious leg injury as a result of the collision.
The male rider of the motorcycle – a blue Suzuki GSF 600 - came off the bike and then fled the scene on foot.
On Tuesday 3 September officers arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of the following offences: causing serious injury by dangerous driving; failing to stop after an accident; drug-driving; failing to report an accident; driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence; and driving without insurance.
He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was subsequently released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.

Officers were called by the Ambulance Service at 9.55pm last night, Monday 2 September, to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian in Sea Road, near the junction with Manwick Road.
The pedestrian – a man aged in his 30s – was taken to hospital having sustained a serious leg injury as a result of the collision.
The male rider of the motorcycle – a blue Suzuki GSF 600 - came off the bike and then fled the scene on foot. Officers are currently making enquiries to locate the rider of the bike and would like to hear from anyone who believes they have information regarding his whereabouts.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
