The body of a man has been discovered in Bury St Edmunds.
Police were called at just after 9.10am this morning, Friday 20 September, to reports that a man had been found deceased in a field near to Westley Lane.
Although formal identification procedures have not yet taken place, the deceased is believed to Darren Bird, aged 54, who was reported missing after last being seen on Saturday 14 September.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
