Police have arrested and charged three males after incidents in Newmarket and in Bury St Edmunds.
In the Newmarket incident, that took place on Friday 11 October at about 1235pm, two people entered the Vodafone store on the High Street stole a large amount of phones, tablets and chromebooks and left the scene.
In the second incident in Bury St Edmunds on the same day (11 October), a little earlier at the O2 store in the Buttermarket at about 1130am, two people entered the store, accessed the back of the store but didn’t take anything and left the store empty-handed.
Some prompt cross border working between Suffolk Police, Essex Police and the Met Police located the suspect’s vehicle in the Illford area and three arrests were made. They were bought back to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
20 year old Elise Vasile of Kibble Close, Romford was charged with conspiring to steal from a shop and use of a motor vehicle with no insurance and two 17 year old males, one from Romford and one from London, were also charged with conspiring to steal from a shop.
All three were remanded and are due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court today (Monday 14 October).
