Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault was reported in Mildenhall.
The incident took place between 7.50pm and 7.55pm on Saturday 5 October.
A vehicle is reported to have been accelerating toward a pedestrian crossing on Mill Street in the town, heading towards Worlington.
The driver stopped and an altercation then took place between the driver and a pedestrian in his 60s who had been on the crossing at the time.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was assaulted, suffering cuts to his face, while his glasses were broken.
The driver was described as white, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, around 6ft tall, with medium to long, light-coloured hair. He was driving a white BMW and was reported to have driven off at speed following the incident.
It is believed other pedestrians and residents in nearby properties may have witnessed the incident.
Officers would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone with any information, including residents with video doorbells or drivers with dash-cameras in their vehicles that may have recorded the incident.
