Police investigating a series of burglaries in Lowestoft this summer have made three arrests as part of their enquiries.
The offences occurred between Friday 16 August and Friday 13 September at various locations across the town and surrounding area.
On Monday 30 September officers arrested two men and a woman in connection with the crimes and they were taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Steven Clark, aged 27, and of Romany Lane in Kessingland, was subsequently charged with three counts of burglary. These relate to offences occurring in Borrow Road between 26 and 28 August; Airedale in Carlton Colville on 7 September; and Silverwood Close on 9 September.
Clark appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Tuesday 1 October, where he was granted bail pending an appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday 29 October.
An 18-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman who were also arrested as part of these enquiries, were bailed in connection with the burglaries until 23 December pending further enquiries.
The 18-year-old man was however charged with possession of an offensive weapon, following the discovery of a machete during police searches on 30 September. He was bailed to appear before Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday 25 October.
