Police are appealing for witnesses to a single vehicle road traffic collision that took place in Leiston.
It happened at 6.35pm yesterday (Monday 7 October) on Lovers Lane near to the junction of the B1122 Abbey Road.
A grey VW Jetta left the road and collided with a tree. The male driver, and only occupant, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Ipswich hospital for treatment.
Anyone who saw the collision, or saw the manner of driving or has dash cam footage prior to the incident should contact Suffolk police, quoting reference 37/57153/24
