Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at Semer.
It took place at a remote location at some point between Saturday 5 October at 9.30pm and Sunday 6 October at 5.30am
A significant amount of items were stolen including two Honda petrol quad bikes, one Kawasaki petrol quad bike, two Husqvarna petrol chainsaws, one electric Stihl chainsaw and a Kubota mini tractor with front loading bucket. A wood splitter was also stolen from an open barn. The total value of the items stolen is thought be in the region of over £30,000.
The offenders made their entry by cutting a padlock to a large workshop situated within the grounds of detached dwelling. It is thought a large trailer/vehicle would have been been needed to remove the stolen items, and as such it is very likely it was a planned burglary with the offenders having some prior knowledge of the items.
Anyone who heard or saw any suspicious activity during the times stated, or knows the whereabouts of any of the items stolen should contact Suffolk police,, quoting crime reference 37/56852/24.
