A family has paid tribute to a woman who died following a collision in Felixstowe earlier this month.
Emergency services were called shortly after 2.30pm on Tuesday 19 November to reports of a collision between a white Nissan GTR and a pedestrian on Church Road.
Police, ambulance, East Anglian Air Ambulance and a paramedic from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) were all in attendance.
The pedestrian was taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance for treatment where she sadly died.
Subject to confirmation at formal inquest proceedings, the woman has been identified as Mary Kinsey, 74, from Felixstowe.
Mary’s family has asked Suffolk Constabulary to share the following tribute:
"Mary was a loving wife to husband Ken and mother to sons Mark and Jonathan.
"She enjoyed meeting her friends and going for walks along the Prom in her hometown.
"Mary was caring and loved helping other people.
"A keen gardener, she spent a lot of time tending her plants, while she had previously been a keen badminton player.
"Mary was taken from us in a terrible collision and will sadly by missed by so many."
A man has been charged following the incident.
The driver of the Nissan was initially taken to hospital by officers for treatment. He was subsequently arrested and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
