Bury drug dealer convicted

A man from Bury St Edmunds has pleaded guilty to a series of drug offences.

Sam Roles, aged 25 and from Winthrop Road, Bury St. Edmunds pleaded guilty on at Ipswich Crown Court on Wednesday 15 May to the following:

• Conspire to supply a class A controlled drug - cocaine - between 1 Dec 2022 to 11 May 2023
• Conspire to supply a class B controlled drug - other - between 1 Dec 2022 to 11 May 2023
• Concerned in the fraudulent evasion of a prohibition on the importation of a class B drug - between 1 Nov 2022 and 11 May 2023
• Possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B - Cannabis - on 10 May 2023
• Acquire / use / possess criminal property - on 10 May 2023
• Acquire / use / possess criminal property - on 16 April 2024

Roles was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on Tuesday 16^th April. He has been remanded to prison and will be sentenced at a date still to be fixed.

PC Bedford from the West Kestrel team based at Bury St Edmunds said: “Roles is an individual who blighted the local community with his drug dealing and made life a misery for many people.

“We will continue seek justice, to take robust action against those who blight our communities by dealing drugs and who also prey on vulnerable people in the process.”
