Police are renewing an appeal to identify a man following a serious assault in Sudbury.
The incident occurred on Saturday 3 February between 10.10pm and 10.20pm outside the White Horse pub in North Street. It involved two male suspects, with a third man later seen on CCTV joining the duo who is not believed to have been involved in the attack.
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, was grabbed by the throat, pushed to the ground and punched several times, then kicked and stamped on. The victim briefly lost consciousness and suffered a broken nose.
Detectives initially issued CCTV of three individuals and following response from the public, a 24-year-old man was arrested on 9 May on suspicion of intentional strangulation. He has been released on police bail until 1 August.
Police continue to appeal for assistance from the public to identify a second man in connection with the incident and are issuing two CCTV images.

Man injured in Sudbury assault
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in Sudbury.
The incident took place on Saturday night (3 February) between 10.10pm and 10.20pm outside the White Horse pub in North Street.
A man was grabbed round the throat by one suspect before another man pushed him to the ground, punched him in the head several times and then kicked and stamped on his head. The victim briefly lost consciousness and suffered a broken nose and was taken to hospital. Three suspects fled the scene.
The suspect who grabbed the victim is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5ft 6in tall, with dark hair and wearing a black tracksuit with a white stripe, black trainers and glasses.
The man who punched and stamped on the victim is described as white in his 20s and around 5ft 6in tall. He was wearing a grey Nike tracksuit.
The third suspect was a white male in his 20s, about 5ft 10in tall with dark hair, wearing a white baseball cap, white t-shirt and black gilet.
