Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Bury St Edmunds.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:20pm on Saturday 30 December 2023 on Risbygate Street and involved a car and a pedestrian.
A car – believed to be black in colour - collided with a 10-year-old boy who was crossing the road using the pelican crossing near the traffic lights by Chalk Road North.
The driver, a female, shouted at the boy but failed to stop at the scene. She is described as white, with long, black hair.
The boy sustained a leg injury and attended hospital for treatment.
Police are keen to identify the driver and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward, quoting CAD 177 on 30 December 2023 via:
