Blythburgh - serious single vehicle collision

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious single vehicle road traffic collision near Blythburgh.

Officers were called at around 11.40am today, Wednesday 17 January, to reports that a man had been injured in a single vehicle collision on the B1125 by Dunwich Road.

Ambulance services, including the air ambulance, were also in attendance.

The driver– a man aged in his 20s – has been airlifted to Addenbrooke’s hospital having sustained potentially life-threatening injuries.

A road closure remains in place on the north side of the road whilst emergency services attend to the collision.

Police are keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision and any motorists travelling in the area with dash cam are asked to check their footage.
