Police appealing for information to trace the driver of a lorry following a three-vehicle collision in Creeting St Mary.
Officers were called at approximately 3:35pm yesterday, Wednesday 31 following reports of a three-vehicle collision on the eastbound A14 at Creeting St Mary.
The collision involved two lorries and a car, a white Toyota Auris.
Ambulance, air ambulance and fire crew also attended the scene.
One of the lorry drivers, a man, had to be extracted from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital with injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening or life threatening.
The driver of the Toyota, a woman, was taken by land ambulance to Ipswich Hospital having sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening or changing.
The road was closed as emergency services attended the incident. The westbound carriageway reopened at 7:45pm; the eastbound carriageway reopened at approximately 9:55pm.
It is understood the collision occurred after a fourth vehicle, another lorry, pulled out from a layby. The driver did not stop at the scene.
Police are keen to identify the driver of the fourth vehicle and would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision. Any motorists travelling in the area with dash cam are asked to check their footage.
