Three people have been charged after a burglary in Newmarket.
It took place on Tuesday 24 December at about 9.30am at the Vodaphone store in the High Street. Three males entered the store through the front entrance and pushed staff into the back corner of the store.
The suspects then started loading an estimated £30,000 worth of stock into a bag. The males then exited the store with the items.
Officers were alerted and following enquiries a vehicle linked to the incident was located in the London area later the same morning. Three males were arrested by Met police officers and were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre of questioning.
Staff in the store were shaken but unhurt.
25 year old Bobby Ezeoba of Common Road in Plumstead was charged with burglary, theft, failing to stop for police and driving without insurance.
26 year old Jevan Davis of Gilbert Road, Belverdere in Kent was charged with burglary and theft, as was 21 year old Samuel Zebo of Gorman Road in London.
All three were remanded and appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday 26 December. Zebo and Davis were further remanded to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 23 January 2025 and Ezeboa was released with an electronic tag and curfew order.
