The Suffolk Constabulary, Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, and East of England Ambulance Service Annual Carol Service took place at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds in early December.
The service featured the Stowmarket Salvation Army Band, the County Upper Chamber Choir and the Suffolk Rock Choir, and Chief Constable Kearton hopes that you are able to support this event.
A collection was taken at this Service and all donations received were divided between the emergency services, with Suffolk Constabulary’s portion being given to local charity Suffolk Against Cancer. This charity was set up in 1998, and is run with a passion to help the community that we live in.
The Cancer Support Suffolk dedicated team includes complementary therapists, counsellors, educators, ambassadors, and business brains that come together to educate and support the people of Suffolk before, during and after cancer.
Assistant Chief Constable Eamonn Bridger, who attended the event, said: “As always, it was an honour to attend the Emergency Services Carol Service alongside my colleagues in other emergency services and experience the local community come together for a night of song, celebration and raising donations for a good cause. I wish to thank all those who organised and facilitated the event.”
