Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Ipswich.
Officers were called to the incident by the ambulance service and by members of the public in Hawes Street shortly before 9.30pm on Tuesday 13 August.
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, reported having been walking along a road when he was struck to the head, possibly with a bat.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance and was treated for a broken nose and broken eye socket.
The injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
The victim, who was wearing a white t-shirt and grey shorts, is believed to have been walking in the area between Jamestown Boulevard, Hawes Street and Wherstead Road when the assault took place.
Officers are interested in hearing from anyone who was travelling along Wherstead Road between the roundabout junction with Hawes Street and the Cowell Street junction between 9.15pm and 9.30pm. This includes anyone who was driving with a dash camera or anyone in the area with CCTV or a video doorbell.
