Police are appealing for help to identify a man following reports of a man acting suspiciously in Lowestoft.
At approximately 2:45pm today, Sunday 18 August, a man described as aged in his 50s was reported to have approached a young girl in Britten Park and asked her to follow him, before trying to grab her by the arm.
It follows similar reports of a suspicious man approaching teenage girls over the past few days in the vicinity of Homefield Avenue.
Police would like to identify the man who is described as white, wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers, with brown pointed shoes and a cowboy hat.
Detective Sergeant Adam Hitcham said: “We know these reports may cause parents and local residents concern and would like to reassure the public that we are conducting a thorough investigation into the unusual circumstances of these incidents.
“We would ask the public to remain vigilant to any suspicious activity, and to contact us with any concerns or suspicions.
“I would urge anyone with information that may assist us in identifying the man to contact us.”
