Police are appealing for witnesses after a dog died and a woman was injured after an incident involving two other dogs.
The incident took place on the beach near to Sizewell Hall at around 8am on Tuesday 13 August.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was walking her dog, a dachshund, when it was attacked by two Staffordshire bull terrier-type dogs.
The woman was injured while attempting to separate the dogs and suffered injuries which required treatment, while the dachshund sadly died following the incident.
Inspector Liz Casey said: “Officers are investigating the incident and working with partners to ensure dogs are controlled appropriately in the area and that all that use the beach and surrounding area are safe.
“Once the investigation is concluded we will assess all and any appropriate measures in regards to those involved.
“Please be aware it is your responsibility to ensure your dog is controlled and that it does not endanger the safety of any others.”
