Beccles - Witness appeal after fatal RTC

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision that took place in Beccles.

Officers were called to the junction of the A145 and Cucumber Lane in Beccles at around 3.30pm on Monday 12 August to a report of a two vehicle RTC involving a white Ford transit van and a black Yamaha motorcycle.

Sadly, as a result of the collision, the male rider of the motorcycle, aged in his 50s, died from injuries they sustained.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene and conducted the initial investigation and reopened at about 1045pm.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Stowmarket, quoting reference CAD 233 of 12 August 2024
