Three men have been arrested following a series of incidents in the Woodbridge area as detectives appeal for witnesses.
Police were called at around 6.30pm today, Sunday 7 April, to an incident at Elmhurst Park in Woodbridge in which a teenage boy was approached by four males. One of the males produced a machete before all four males left the scene.
Officers were then made aware of a second incident at around 8.10pm today outside a kebab shop on Warwick Road, Woodbridge. Two boys were approached by two unknown males in a blue Ford Fiesta. The two males then threatened the boys with a machete before driving away in the direction of Edwin Avenue.
Officers were then also made aware of a third incident which occurred at the skate park near Station Road in Woodbridge today at around 8.20pm. A woman was approached by three males, one of whom threatened her with a large knife. The suspects then left the scene in a blue Ford Fiesta.
Following a search of the area, three male suspects, two 19-year-olds and one 18-year-old, were located on Newbourne Road, Brightwell, near the roundabout on Foxhall Road, and were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery at around 8.55pm today.
They were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre, where they currently remain for questioning.
