A man has sustained serious injuries after falling from a bridge at the Copdock Interchange, in Ipswich, onto the main A14 carriageway.
The incident occurred shortly after 3:25pm today, Saturday 13 April.
The man was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital having sustained life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed in both directions as emergency services attended to the incident. All restrictions lifted at approximately 5:50pm.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
