A man has died following a house fire in Ipswich.
Emergency services were called at 8:15pm on Wednesday 11 October, to reports of a fire at a property on Macaulay Road. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, Police and East of England Ambulance attended the scene.
A man in his 40s, who was inside the house, sustained serious burns as a result of the fire. He was taken to hospital but has now sadly died. The man’s next of kin have been made aware.
Suffolk Constabulary are working with investigators from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service to determine the cause of the fire but it is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
