Middleton - sheep killed and stolen

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident where a sheep was killed and stolen in Middleton.
It took place at some point between midday at Wednesday 13 December and 11am on Thursday 14 December in a field near Mill Steet.
A sheep was killed by a club hammer and taken away with the hammer left on the footpath.
Anyone who knows who was responsible or saw anything suspicious should contact police quoting crime number 37/72036/23.
