Witness appeal after fatal collision in Sudbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a road traffic collision in Sudbury.

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service at 12.40am today, Saturday 3 June, to reports of a single vehicle collision in Acton Lane involving a black BMW.

The fire service and the ambulance service were also in attendance, but the driver sadly died at the scene.

A road closure was in place on Acton Lane between the junctions with Reynolds Way and A134 Springlands Way  however the road was fully reopened at 9.20am.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision. In particular, anyone with a dash-camera that was driving around the time of the collision is asked to review their footage.
