West Suffolk – Two men arrested for cannabis cultivation

Person in handcuffs

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man and a 30-year-old man on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.

Following the discovery of 74 cannabis plants on three separate growing sites in a private woodland in west Suffolk, police have arrested two men in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday 12 August on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and criminal damage.

The 25-year-old man from Bedfordshire and the 30 year-old man from Bury St Edmunds were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they were questioned by officers. They were both subsequently released under investigation pending further enquiries.

We would urge farmers and landowners to regularly check remote/private locations on their land and report any similar finds to police.
