Three charged with Ipswich burglary

Police have arrested and charged three people in connection with a robbery in Ipswich.
 
It follows an incident on Upper Brook Street in the town on Saturday 29 August at about 5:05am.
 
A male victim, aged in his late 40s, was approached by two women and a man who ask him for a rizzla and some tobacco. They then got into a conversation and it escalated with the group of three punching the victim to the floor and stealing his glasses, mobile phone and a small amount of cash before leaving him with an injured mouth and face.
 
A short while afterwards three people were arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
 
19 year old Shannan O’Connor of Fore Street in Ipswich, 19 year old Chelsea O’Connor also of Fore Street and a 15 year old teenage boy were all charged with robbery. They all appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday 31 August.

They were remanded to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday 28 September.
